| Programme Description | The PhD in Medical & Health Sciences provides the student with a research expertise that will set them firmly on a successful career in Medical and Health Science research or other careers that the student eventually chooses. Graduates can specialise in one of the major disciplines in the university college, namely, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Imaging, Paramedic Science, Healthcare Management, Biomedical Science, Environmental Health, Health Informatics and Occupational Health and Safety. This programme is aimed at those who are working within Medical & Health Sciences industry and want to move up in their career. |

| Teaching Methodology | The programme is research based. The student will conduct research under the guidance of supervisors and produce a thesis at the end of the programme. The thesis will be examined by a panel of examiners and the student will be required to attend a viva-voce examination. During the programme, the student will be required to attend and present his/her work in university, national and international seminars as advised by his/her supervisors. |
