CENTRALITY OF RESEARCH
Research constitutes the lifeblood of the progress of knowledge and competencies, underpinning the organic growth and academic quality of a university. In developing a thriving community of researchers, AMU has not only introduced policies that encourage and recognise research work and publication, but also allocates a substantial amount of internal funds to support such work. Our research contribution to various disciplines will elevate our position from a purely teaching institution to that which is research-oriented as well. This is in line with our vision to achieve excellence in teaching, research and consultancy.
Dynamic changes in the macro and micro environments, technology and industry have presented a huge window for research; more importantly, research in health sciences will eventually contribute to better healthcare and quality of life. From the perspective of educational research, such contributions will generate better teaching and learning approaches towards producing competent and job-ready graduates who are kept abreast with development in knowledge, competencies and technology.
