Theme: Protecting Health from Climate Change – An Oncological Perspective

Masterskill College of Nursing and Health is proud to organize her first international scientific conference, ‘PROTECTING HEALTH FROM CLIMATE CHANGE - An Oncological Perspective’ on October 6 – 8, 2008 at First World Hotel in Genting Highlands.

The Masterskill International Scientific Conference will allow for exchange of ideas and research findings on how to protect health from climate change. It would also offer information on products and current medical practices that may be able to help reduce exposure to harmful climate change agents.

Masterskill’s maiden effort in organizing this international scientific conference is expected to attract at least 500 healthcare providers nationwide.

To create awareness among participants and the public on the harmful
effects of climate change on health.
To share information and exchange views on possible oncological
conditions that are related to climate change.
To create awareness on what can be done to protect health against
climate change.

Abstracts must be written in English, double-spaced and using Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, font size12.
Provide a 2.5 cm margin on all sides of an A4 paper
The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to indicate clearly the nature of the study. Capitalize the first letter of each word. No full stop at the end.
Provide the author names and affiliated institutions in APA style.
The internationally accepted system of units (SI units) should be used whenever possible.
The abstract should include introduction, method, results and conclusions.
The abstract should not be more than 300 words.

Full registration fee should be paid before the abstract can be considered for inclusion in the abstract book. ( will be confirmed later)
Closing date for the submission of abstracts is 30 June 2008.
Prepare your poster so that the size does not exceed 1m x 1m.

Rental of exhibition booth:
RM2500/- for early birds by September 6, 2008.
RM3000/- for rental after September 6, 2008

- display table with 2 banquet chairs
- complimentary tickets to recreation centres at Genting
